slide out madness

well i havent made a post for a long time so here goes ....like two days ago well mabe a week now i got new tires , they seem pretty dam good ...well i was kicking the "roundabout" just down the street from me and my foot got stuck on the gas and the breaks at the same time ...well she jumped a curb and smacked the frontend on a yeld sigin .....anyway i need one red marker light cover and one wheel ..i got luckyer than **** as it didnt mess stuff up to badly it could have been alot worse ..stupied paddle covers ....so my rim just got a ding and it chiped my front bummper cover on the left corner ...black tape fixed that up for NOW...
i had a set of black marker light cover i put them on for now ..but i like the red ones i had going on befor ...... anyone out the got one rim and a red blinker cover they want to get rid of ???...i have plenty to trade ...i still have this n47 head that anyone can pretty much have for free if the pay to have it shipped ..my bumper cover will get sanded out and i will fiberglass it up soon as it gets warmer ..it made it pull to the left a little but i fixed that already as best i could ..still there is a LITTLE pull to the left .... i made it alot better just by turning my wheel hub .....i think i need a small alignment now ..it bummes me the most because i had perfict streeing befor this ...

Your wheel looks fine. Sand it and polish it out. I've got the red marker light. Maybe we can trade some goods. I'll get it ready to ship.

good to hear from you though.

uhhh... my yard and garage look like that!

I'm up to my ears in 2-seater ZX misc parts between those two parts cars. I guess the only things I would like right now are turbo exhaust manifold, spare turbos, and 2+2 doors (or glass), and 2+2 hatch as spares. I didn't see any of that in the picture.

I do have the turbo wheels still...

You should remove that manual heater system from that car and sell it to someone. Controls, heater core, core housing, fan motor and housing. That's all you need really. Oh, and the T in the water lines by the firewall.

Why not do a 5-speed swap with that car you have in your yard? Didn't you want to do that a long time ago? Maybe stick a 3.9 rear in old Black too? if you don't have one, I've got one here to spare... or trade, whateva

The E-brake Cables Are Diff Lengths Between The Early And Later Years Of The Zx, I Foulnd Out The Hard Way, If Its An 82ish, Youll Need The Shorter One. Otherwise It Drags On The Ground. I Got Extras (3), But There Not For Sale In Case Mine Breaks Or Seizes Up

If you want to preserve your park brake cable, pull it off, hang it up by one end and put some penetrating oil in. Let it hang for a day or so, preferably until it starts to drip out of the bottom of the cable.

Then mount it back on the car and operate the hand brake a dozen or so times. Don't over extend it by jerking it up as far as it'll go, but you want to move the cable through it's entire range slow and smoothly.

This will help work it in to all the 'threads'. This should also help prevent additional rust/corrosion by sealing out the air.

If you do this every year or so on a cable in good (unrusted) condition, it should last forever.

If someone has any other ideas for preserving this common trouble spot, please suggest it.

I USED ANTI SEIZE AND WORKED FROM BOTH ENDS ON BOTH CABLE SIDES, IT TAKES AWHILE BUT THE LOCAL PARTS STORE WANTED 250 BUCKS A SIDE FOR A NEW SET. JUST USE A VISE AND SOME ELBOW GREASE AND ITLL WORK. I ALSO FOUND AEROKROIL WORKS WONDERS ON GETTING CABLES ON SEIZED, IVE DONE IT TO SEVERAL Z CUSTOMERS CARS, THEY REALLY APPRECIATE THE SAVINGS. ALSO GEL LUBE IS GOOD AS WELL. I SHOULD REALLY OFFER THIS SERVICE FOR PEOPLE. WITH THEY NEVER SEIZE IT DOESNT REQUIRE BEING TAKEN OUT EVERY YEAR!!

It is a spoiler from a car. Not a Z. He had it on his car for a bit but it could use some modification to fit right.

Ahhh! I remember that. It was a bit clunky since it didn't match the angle of the hatch and it looks like the lower end has a cutout for a third brake light... those weren't even imagined when our cars were being designed!
