Question Power Question

Just drove my 280zx NA in the rain which I hardly ever do.. My question is that when I do, the car seems like it has more power & more throttle response... Anyone know how I can make it run like this all the time??? THanks in advance.... Surge_NJ...

He says he has less power in the rain, not more. The reason I see that happen on my car is the resistance of the water. Water on the car body does a little but its mainly the tires. Especially if you have cheap tires that are not meant for rain or really wide tires. Pushing through that water takes a lot more effort.

Of course this depends on how much power you really lose. Its hard to say since its always the driver's opinion. I notice just a little but I have also noticed that during the rainy months I get less miles per gallon going to and from work. so it shows up there too.

Unhappy

Ya, I read the original post wrong and then I'm the one trying to correct Rick!

Anyway, my car has less power in the rain, maybe because of the amount of water on the road.
