Potential problems???yeah stuff happens

Morning started good enough, car fired right up and I loaded her onto the trailer and then proceeded 130 miles west of Memphis to Little
Rock AK to get the custom stainless steel mandrel exhaust built.

Got there ok, but the car wouldn't start.!..pushed it off trailer and into garage.
3 hours later, new exhaust with Magnaflow muffler and tips, looks very nice I might add...
No start...winched car onto trailer.
Got home, no start....

Used the stock eccu to verify the problems with the JWT ecu, no spark, no fuel pump action, no injector pulse...took dizzy out, spun it around and heard my new exhaust speak for the first time with a resounding BOOM! The exhaust works ok, just not the exhaust note I wanted to hear, lol.

cheap camera, sorry
So I know my JWT ecu is fried.....I towed car throught a major rainstorm there and back...300 mile round trip.
I checked and found [green copper corrosion] conductive dust all around the center plug to the ecu, possibly a drop of water along the way, mixed with the dust, electrolite cocktail??and I think, this resulted in an ecu short.

So I called JWT. Sent it back Fedex. Was told it would be expidited. I don't think it was any wrong doing on the part of JWT, they are going to check it out and repair it.

I hope it doesn't cost much.

Meanwhile, I have the options to:

1. Return to stock with a known good stock 83 ecu.

2. Do the z31 ecu upgrade
until I get my ecu back from JWT
I am going to change out all my ecu plugs asap so this doen't happen again.
stll learnin

confirmed problem

Pushed the car into garage today, left overnight in the rain, found a drip at the bottom of the windshield which dropped water directly over where the ecu was setting on the floorboard...
gotta reseal the windshield.

thought yall would like to know the cause of the problem.

call from JWt

They said ecu had water damage. No surprise there. Complete loss, however, they offered to transfer the program over to another ecu for 100 bucks.

I said do it asap and ship overnite. I hope to be back and running by Wed. next week, I will just wait and not do anything in regards to ecu swap.

Meanwhile, I will calibrate my tps.

kenny, and vsop tonite.
