Ok. I got my blinker's to work. Yay! Pffft now the car don't start. The blinker problem was a bad hazard switch. and blown fuse. I replaced them both, now that car won't start. I pull that fuse out. and the car start's. but no blinker's.
With the fuse in, (10amp in Igg section for flasher's) Everythign comes on with key, but don't turn off. even when you takre the key out, the pump and acc's are still on. and the starter relay just clicks. with the fuse out, everything is fine, ecept the blinker's don't work. I can start the car, then put the fuse in. and car runs fine. and blinker's work. but i don't want to have to put a fuse in after i start my car just to drive it.

 

maybe the ignition switch is fried.

remove the steering column cover. Take off the switch on the back of key cylinder. (two tiny screws) that item is easily replacable. try hot wiring the plug to see if you can start the car that way. If so then the switch it plugs into is probably bad.

 

nope. replaced it. switch is fine. The car start's fine, like it should without the fuse in. but if you put it in. everythign powers up. but when you go to start. the starter relay just clicks. and when you take the key out. everything is still on. Fuel pump. radio. all of it. Except the clock. that goes off.

 

Problem fixed. Trans Wireing harness. Because this used to be an auto, a couple wires from the harness had to be wired together. To "Tell" the car that it was in park. The wires that were wired together. had to be switched around. Now it runs, and start's fine with the fuse in. and blinker's work.

I wanted to check mine, before i have the problem others experienced.
Can you use headlight fluid if you can't find blinker fluid?

i thought it was headlight water parking light oil and blinker fluid muffler bearings and hermitic displacement.

 

Just A Quick Note.

You Can Use The Headlight Fluid For Your Blinkers. You'll Have To Use An Intermintant Modifier ( Any Pep Boys Will Have It ), Otherwise It Will Plug Up The 4-way Diff Vent.
Just Keep An Eye On The Reanimator, They Grt A Little Pricey.

Z-hag, actually I sometimes use muffler bearing grease in place of the blinker fluid. Both work the same way if you think about it...

The blinker fluid resivour on the non-turbo models is located in the engine bay right under the exhaust flow meter. I'd see if you can find one from a turbo model. They have a larger capacity and allow you to make turns faster.

 

the turbomodels have a recirculating pump and reservoir located near them--check fsm for exact location--i do not have to worry about running out----
i also like the specila edition shinypate grease collector located just below the front bumper in my 50 AE....................


and my AE also came with a stock pontifikator under the passenger seat--activated by weight --------

 

what about the transfercase fluid? If you don't keep up with that you will loose the AWD.

 

oops, maybe that's why my front right wheel never seems to have any power...
