Petrol smell
 

Yeh, seems to be coming from the top of the fuel tank. All hoses are new, the big O ring under the access plate has been replaced, smell is still there.

Is this a common thing? Fix ups?

I take it you recently pulled the tank? If it's really that obvious / bad, you should prolly drop the tank again & doube check everything.

Is the smell INSIDE the cabin? Or just when you are under the car?

try tightening the extra little hose on the top of the tank to the side of the main portion, it goes to the filler neck, could be pinched or wore thru and causing an odor.

Smell sources are so hard to locate, anyway it seems that it was the vent pipe to the anti pollution cannister thing. Seems to be OK now.
