In the last year i have joined the CTZCC in Darien Ct, we have about 75 members or so, meetings are held at the Nissan of Darien dealership, one illustrious member goes by the name of Bob Sharp, yes that Bob Sharp. We were always hoping his friend Paul Newman would show up for a meeting but he was ill during the period. Bob is an active member in the club plus works at the dealership, a meeting consists of a member giving a tech session, we break for pizza and soft drinks, the 2nd half is Bob showing old race flicks of he and Newman back in the day doing what they love to do.. We are holding our annual fall outing tomorrow at our club Presidents house where Bob Sharp is unveiling his new black GTR to the club for the first time, can't wait.. Talk about a regular guy, he has a good word for all he talks to, has such an enthusiasm for the cars we all know and love and loves to sign his name on any item that is presented to him, he signed the shocktower on my 85GLL for me, really a cool guy... Will post some pics back after the event..:)

i hate living in the south east... i never get to go to zcar mets, classic car mets, or be in cool Zcar clubs... not to mention the fun runs...

you should see the Georgia Z Club web site, some dude set up this awesome web site but there are like 10 members... including me:disgust:

Well, the day was a total success with 50+ Z's in attendance, weather was cool and crisp, the sky was blue and the Z'z were HOT:biggrin: Lot of good people sharing Z interests and a great time was had by all...

Just a few more pics, A drawing was held for the autographed poster art of Bobs former race car, a club member was the luicky winner of that which i'm sure is an instant prized possesion.....There were also 2 LS1 vette powered S30's there, they were awsome..:unibrow: Bob shared stories of when he started in business after his folks sent him to college then he ended up opening a gas station and began selling cars and building and racing his way up in the world, now his son Scott is racing his way to fame also....
