An O'l tempsensor/sender question
 

Hi Guys, OK, I have confirmed my tempsensor/sender is busted. Purchased one that looks just like a bullet, I guess I will use the brass nut from the old one, if I can get it off in one piece, to replace.

The question: I can't seem to get to the tempsender unit because there is an immovable fuel line in the way. Will I have to take off the entire thermostat housing to get the tempsender off? I have a 83 N/A. Have others come into this issue? I've never read others having this issue.

You sure it's the fuel rail? Seems like that lower line is coolant... which is easier to move / remove. Maybe post a pic?
