I think it sounds really cool, But alittle loud if you are going to drive it on the street.

 

straight cut gears sound cool if you have some sound insulation around the tranny, if not, they can resonate and drive you nutty! had a vid but it was removed....

 

Hmm Interesting Idk on that part tho As even if its well insulated Most of the mounts in the car are going to be pretty firm, if not solid

This S30T will have a rebuilt L28ET w/ slight mods & Z31T ecu / maf... but the body still needs some work. I'm thinking $3k at the moment.

The only S30 I would ever want to keep for myself is a 240z w/ L28ET swap, fender flares and a G-nose. I'm doing this 280zt project because I can.

I've spent too much time (10 years) and too much money (about $18k) on my 280zxt to part w/ it right now. And it's too much fun to drive.

 

just promise my to ARP head stud and MLS gasket that motor. and deal! haha. also, my 6k 280z was an NA. my S30 swap that was in better condition body wise than yours (the 260Z) i sold for 3k, but yours will have a better engine and management and tranny. so 3k would probably be pretty fair. well get to cracken! im almost done with my talon and should have it sold in a month after that so chop chop!


also do a 3 inch exhaust, none of that ***** 2.5 inch stuff lol. that or just get the MSA DP and leave the exhaust to the purchaser. that would work to. screw that even, i want a fatty holset or t3/t4 setup with a open dump tube external wastegate... sexy!

 

lol There a 928 here for sale for $10K its pretty much mint and has only 50K miles on it I tried to buy it but its hard to get a loan for a car that old... lest for that much

 

i think you should go v8, i have $2800 in my car (including purchase price of the car) and N/A im putting out around 410WHP on a motor built in 1987.

nah, V8's are cool sorta. they have grown on me. but only classics or the new LS motors. i would only really want a LS motor in my datsun, gas mileage power reliability and weight all in one package. i looked at some V8 datsuns, all automatic, i don't roll like that unfortunately.

 

I use to be a big V8 guy, Huge into mustangs. But to me, every kid on every corner has one. Thats why I have chosen the Z cars. Only real car guys mess with them cus they usily take so much to get on the road and running good.
