The only stock pan that I know of, is the one that bolts on @ the lower radiator support, and covers back to mid oil pan... I took mine off so that I can work on my z w/o taking that on & off everytime.

I'm jealous. Wildman has his originals on both his '81 and '82. Mine is gone...https://www.zdriver.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif

I really don't think it does much, unless you like to offroad rally in the brush... it might keep plants from gettin in the fanbelts.

I Think It Keeps Road Dirt Out As Well. Ive Noticed My Engine Bay Becoming Very Dirty Since I Took Mine Off.

Since the Z uses struts, ya can't just plop in some shocks & expect it to sit right (not to mention the pain of trying to bolt up shocks to strut mounts). If you really wanna find out, hit up a junk yard & look for a car w/ the same basic setup, and try to swap parts. I've spent lots of time in junk yards doing this... good research & ya not ruining your own car! |
as long as the bottom mounts up, i could just cut a hole in the top of the towers and make a mount of the cage.
