im currently stumped on my 79 zx 5 speed project i picked up last fall that i did an engine swap on. i picked up an 83 parts car thats auto and everything was going well until my starter just grinded on the flywheel after everything was back together i did some homework and found out i need to remove the auto spacer from the 83s motor but couldn't find anything on how to get it off ive already dropped the trans flexplate and flywheel and the engine is still in the car if anyone has any info anything will help.

 

You're talking about the spacer on the crankshaft that mounts to the torque converter? Just pull it off... use a flat head screwdriver if you need.
