New Member Introduction
Hi All, My name is Reggie I just became a member a week ago because I recently acquired a 79 what I think is a base coupe. The car is a 2 seater with cloth interior. I am in need of a few things and some preferred vendors. The very first thing I need is the door rubber that channels water away from inside the door frame. The piece I am referring to is the 8" long rubber at the top of left door or driver door in the US. It clips in with 4 clips it looks like. I don't have a diagram of the weather stripping if there is such a thing but would also be interested in such a drawing so I can start to call these parts by their rightful name. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks Reg

Welcome to Driver!
Download your service manual at XenonS130 - S130 Reference It's a freebie. Check out the other docs available there too.
See what the manual calls that piece.
Also, do everyone a favor and add your Z info to your signature so it will be part of every post. Sign in, go to User CP menu (upper left), click Edit Signature and add your Z model, year, shifter, turbo or NA, etc. Saves you having to add it to every post. (Guys here go crazy if you don't lock your Q to your specific Z every time you post...They just ignore questions without enough info - or flame you for forgetting) Then click Edit Avatar and add a little Z pic under your nick. Cool?.
Thanks and welcome!

I'm a big believer in recycling!
Check out car-part.com, enter your data, sort results by distance from your zip. Maybe the parts are close enough to drive to and check out yourself. Most recyclers have toll-free numbers to call.
Today was indeed another day. First thing this morning I got a call from a man that is in the process of parting a white '79 with red interior. I didn't need any interior but he had the door seal and the top chrome windshield trim. I walked away with both parts for $60. I use car-parts.com all the time. The guy at my local junk yard got sick of me coming in looking for impossible parts all the time so he told me about the site. Thanks for the help zxguy86.
