Msa Kit 2 Install

Hey zers!

I'm stoked because I got my new MSA body kit style II today. The problem is, NO INSTRUCTIONS!! anyone out there put one of these on their Z? If so, could you give some pointers on what I have to remove and how to mount the kit? should I use rivets or that 3m tape? any advice appreciated!!

if you can organize wihc piece goes where, all you should have to do is drill some holes and bolt it in right?? (never previously installed a body kit ever)

ah dont listen to them CF sucks...:P plus you might hit retirment age by the time they finish....
ok well it should be like this....

for bumpers..you do remove the plastic outside covers so you are left with a frame...then put the skin overtop and bolt it on...i would only screw the kit inside the fenderwell lips and not on acrual 1/4 panels use glue or 3m tape there so you dont have a screw on the side...

for mine i ditched the old bumpers...welded a crossbar where the bumper shocks are and then put my kit on...but unfortunately i had to do some moulding to the body as it wasnt perfect, HOOD might and probably will interfere with the front airdam so you might have to do some shaving on the inside.......even the whale tail i got needs moulding it pretty bad actualy, it looks like one of the corners was busted and they tried patching it up...now when i put it on its sticking UP...

Texaz...

You will need to remove the front & rear bumpers from the shock mounts. Under the shock flanges (on the shocks) there is a phillips screw in the center of each shock. You will need to remove that screw & push the shock in to release the pressure, then re-install it. That way the new bumper will wrap around the wheel wells.

Kinda like Skully said... use screws to attach them @ the wheel wells, but use adhesives elsewhere. I haven't installed my side skirts yet, but I will be using adhesive on them.
