Lady in my car is not talking

My local pick and pull have many z. I am just wondering what part should I replace for the lady in my car to talk again. Would any body know please give me some advice? Thanks.

NONE of the warnings work? Have you tried the e-brake warning? Door open? Low fuel?

If none work, you probably need to replace the unit. Search here for previous threads... we've discussed problems & the location of the unit.

She does not say anything at all. Could you tell me what is the unit call? and where is it located? Thanks.

BTW the upgrade of the 300zx turbo ECU is excellent. Do you know why it takes longer to start, but before the swap it start right up?

Plus the Auxiliary Air Valve will no longer need? Because I tried to disconnected and the car did not start up. There are still many vacuum hose that I like to remove but dont know exactly which.

Thanks again.

It is called the audible warning. It is a small black box, on your passenger rear wheel well. It has a bunch of wires leading to it.

Reconnect it to see if it makes a difference.........

Just because you would "like" to remove them, doesn't mean you should. :D

Thank you. I assume the unit from a 300zx would work.

Reconnect it to see if it makes a difference......... Reconnected and it start fine.

Do your interior lights work? Cruise control work?

I was under the impression that the talking lady was only connected to one speaker. She started clicking at me the other day, cause my lights were on with the car off, dunno if thats a good thing, cause I thought it was my fuel pump at first O.o

NismoPick 09-16-2010 11:03 AM

^^^ Indeed... dash center speaker.

Good points. So Benny, do you have an aftermarket stereo installed? If you turn the headlights on (no key in ignition), and open the drivers door, do you hear a click coming from the black box?

WanganDevilZ 09-16-2010 11:33 AM

The FSM should show the wiring to and from the talking lady.

Don't know why you would want her in there O.o

I have stock stereo/cassette and still working fine. Never left headlights on so dont know, both doors open with key or without key still nothing except the " din don din don " sounds. But its alright not a big deal.

My 86 turbo I can hear " lights are on", and something like that.

If I can modify the voice detection, I would of put a sensor detection says " WHO FARTED IN MY CAR".

I would make mine sound like Jarvis from Ironman.

"Your fuel level is low sir."

If I could. Or the generic flight stewardess. Soft calming voice.

Feedback indicates that your lights are currently on sir...

A systems check shows that your left door is open...

Especially in the Paul Bettany voice, no other way
