Knock Sensor

Can anyone, well I know someone can, tell me which of the 280zx's came with knock sensors? Or more specifically, which ones had the L28's with the knock sensors. I'm know that atleast some of the turbos came with them, but did all the turbo's have them? I'll let you guys take it from here. Thanks ahead of time.

Where is it located?

It should be on the right side of the engine, down near the oil pressure sensor if I'm not mistaken. Atleast thats what I saw in an illustration. I didn't even know these cars came with knock sensors til I saw that. I'd rather have a knock sensor with a stand alone system to better control my timing, so that's why I'm trying to figure out which block I need.

Do the Megasquirt or other standalones have the ability to utilize a knock sensor to control timing? I thought, from the intake thread, that the MS couldn't control timing or something.

The new Mega Squirtnspark will read a knock sensor to retard timing in case of over boost but from what I've read, it won't read the old style devices. i don't think it has been released for sale yet.
I found the knock sensor on a '82 F54 block, what a POS. At least the hole is there. According to my Chilton book, they only show it on the turbo engine.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll be getting me a turbo block then.
