I put mine through my fender, tomorrow i'll take some pictures for you when it's light outside if you'd like.

Mine goes into a hole right next to the fuses on the passenger side underneath the plastic trim. It then pops out up where the other wires for the door's windows/mirror come out and it then goes into the fender where there happens to be another hole leading to the engine bay...

Took a bit of time to do it but no one has ever noticed it.

you can run it through the fender, or just push it through any of the gromets in teh firewall, efi or engine compartment harness gromet.

Just curious, does the 280ZX or any of the S30's have any existing holes where a 0gauge wire would fit through? In my last car, I had to drill because my 0gauge wouldn't fit. I was bumpin

you might be able to squeeze it with the ECU harness. other then that. The fender should be a spot for it. I got my Dizzy vaccume line running though my driver side fender.

Here is where mine is running through the firewall, it is a 4 gauge wire so I think you should have no problem with anything of this size and smaller....notice the auto tranny dipstick for location of this hole on an 82 280zx:

That's one thing i don't miss. And that's that auto dip stick. I don't run wires like that. cause the sharp edge of the metal will eat though the insulator and short you out.

It is true, in "theory" the sharp metal edge "could" cut the wire but I am lazy and after fighting to cut through it with my "Wire Cutters" I think it will be just fine as it is stationary anyway and has an overly thick jacket on the wire...Stinger.

the only reason i said something is because i sliced though my ECU harness. And i sliced though a Amp wire in my ranger.
