i cannot submit an obnoxiously colored response--msn has messed up my computer, and keeps saying the message is less than 10 characters when everybody knows i'm not that short-winded. i wanna say--do not keep scaring us old bats so bad!! tho't i was gonna have a stroke!! good thing it's only mileage!!
Hey Rod, I wasn't fooled, as soon as I read it. I am like he rolled over the mileage.
I just knew you didn't actually roll your Z. Good try though, and congrats to your Z getting older! My Z is as follows:
almost 198,000 on body
over 140,000 on engine

I almost threw up a little on that one. Any wrecked Z is a tragic loss that in turn makes our cars cost more
Burn the ricers!
But really. Um, congrats. I am only at 78k right now. Not much left original.

Sorry guys, I couldn't resist
Anyway, that is 250K on the original motor with no major repairs ever... In fact, it's the original head gasket!
I've made mods "Outside" the motor, but the internals are untouched since it was assembled in October of 1979!!!
Rod.

Haha! You got me too! While scrolling down, I was thinking, "Why's there so much blank space here? Hmm, pix must not be loading. How can he not know how he rolled his Z? Ok, why did he post a pic. of his odometer. Ohhh, doh! I've been had!" The suspense was killing me the whole time! That was a good one!
I was moving and towing a trailer with my 280zx turbo and I saw that it was coming up on 100k miles so I got my camera out and got going fast enough to bottom the speedo and then some and was about to take the picture when I heard tire noise and realized I had a tire going down.
Fixed it and got another flat on the opposite side of the car 20 minutes later........at 1:00 am on I95.
Luckily, the trailer had my other set of wheels in it so I was ok.
Sadly, I was without camera when my 84 maxima turned 240k as it has a 125mph+ speedo that the car easliy pegs.
