Does anyone know of the person or company that makes a kit to convert from the tension spring to hydraulic lift for the hood. My Z doesn't have the tension spring to help raise the hood. I remember the conversion kit, but can't remember who sold it.

i think msa has them but a good fabricator and google could prove to be cheaper

 

Get the spring first then think about the hydrolic kit...

 

...and I wouldn't call 54lbs light
