I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but I cannot find a thread. In my 83 zx when I turn on the headlights the Hi-Beams come on as default, and the low beams come on when pulling or pushing the turn signal stalk, the same why the Hi-beams normally work. This however does not turn the hi-beam indicator on the dash off. Any ideas what could be causing this?

 

Are the headlights new ? maybe the contacts are reveresed ?
