cold start valve

cold start valve

ok this has been a problem ......when she get hot she wont start and when she gets cold she starts right up .......is there a cold start valve...i think it mite be sticking open
is how can i bypass if need i hate leaveing my car over night i have had two do this a few times and it sucks....... when i come back in the morning she fires right up so mabe the cold start valve is open when she hot and not letting it fire up

Your problem sounds like mine but mine if you fire her up enough times shell go again its just when she stops to idle is when she dies. Do an ohm check on the cold start valve, and i believe there is another check with it in the hayes manuel. Just remember a new cold start valve cost 139 from victoria british and 159 from Nissan. Or you can go el cheapo and pay 5 bucks for it at the pick and pull. But for me I really dont believe that is the problem.

i think my starter is makeing it worse.. when i broke valves i worked the starter hard and now it kicks out right away so it makes it hard to get past the cold start problem i wish there was away to rebuild the one i have

Exactly the same ones... both times my fuel pump crapped out.

You can have it rebuilt. I always take mine to an alternator shop here in town and they rebuild it for like $60.00. Look in your phone book for an alternator shop and give them a call.

I have a napa parts hook up it will be only $60 to buy a new one i dont think it was the alt just a shorting wirer . i think that if i pulled my starter i could mess with it and fix it but i could also mess it up so i think iam going to chill
