Yea the *** hole thing is right. I was driving an 18 wheeler the other day, and my wife calls me, so I answer like a dumbass, and there is a red light coming up and I was not paying atention and I was like thinking I was in my jeep wich is an automatic, so I am pushing my brake to stop not taking it out of gear, geting slower and slower then I realize I am still going way too fast and the truck is trying to die and I am about to vaporize a chevy pickup. I through the cell phone in the floor board and yanked it out of gear and aplied that brake as much as I could without locking them and I got it stoped but it was right on the guys ***. he must have **** his pants. I am an *** hole.
I am glad to see so many of you can relate to the bad drivers out there. I will have to say since I started this thread I have been gathering some info about drivers in my area everytime I go out. Over the past week I picked at random 8 drivers in different vehicles and noted how they were driving, what they were driving, gender and estimated age. I made sure when doing these test I myself was doing the posted speed limit and wearing my seatbelt. This was done on one road around the same time each day. Here we go.
Drivers
1. Female, 20-25 years old, Nissan Exterra, Talking on cell, 10-12mph over limit and changing lanes without signaling.
2. Male, 20-25 years old, Ford escape, improper lane change from a turn-over 3 lanes, speeding, loud music.
3. Female, 30-40 years old, Doge Ram 1500, Cell phone, going 25 in a 45 in the fast lane weaving, turning without signal.
4. Male 35-40 years old, Nissan Maxima, 5 mph over speed limit.
5. Female 16-19 years old, Eclipse, Cell Phone, 15-20 mph over speed limit, no signals, loud music, drinking soda.
6. Male 16-18 years old, Yup you guessed it Honda Civic riced out, trying to race everything on the road, loud music, offensive rims and green paint.
7. Female 65-100 years old, Buick Park Ave, 10 mph under speed limit, weaving.
8. Male 65-100 years old, Ford Crown Vic, did the speed limit but was weaving and hitting brakes...ALOT!
The worst driver I saw during all of the was a Pinellas County Sherriff, Male in his 40's and he was speeding, stopping short, not signaling, weaving, cutting people off...not once did his lights come on or did he run a red light, oh and he was tailgating.
So yes you all are right, it is not just women that are "bad" drivers...it is stupid people that are bad drivers. Well I gotta go do some burnouts and do some sliding around corners

My favorite are the cops. They will turn on their lights so they can go from a right turn lane only to make their left turn, turn off their lights, and continue driving normally. I've watched cops going down the road the light turns yellow, they don't stop, light turns red and with about a good 100 ft until the light they just keep going and run the light. I've seen cops flying in and out of traffic with no signals, tailgating, turning with no signals, rolling through stop signs, etc. One time at an intersection that has a green right turn arrow, a cop decided he was going to make his left turn and I almost could run right into him because he abruptly shot out and started making the left turn when I had the right of way. It probably would have been my fault too.
As for people on the road, I've seen alot of girls doing stupid things, but I see just as many men doing stupid stuff as well.

After watching my friend roxanne drive with her headset i don't think they work too well with her.....then again she gets all emotional and crazy mad when talking, we've yelled at her on more than one occasion to just pull over. I really don't know how well they fair with other people.
did anyone see the myth busters episode of this? They had several different tests for 2 different drivers.
They would first do the whole driving track/scenarios without a cellphone
then they went back and would ask different questions while the driver did the exact same driving track/scenario.
The questions ranged from "what's your name?" to having to listen to a story and respond to questions about the story
It was a good one

yeah thats the thing, its not that the cellphone occupies your hand and thats a big hazard ( i doubt all of us drive with both hands). Its that it diverts the attention from the road to whatever the hell the conversation is about. You can drive fine with a cellphone in your hand all day, I doubt its going to affect how you drive. Its the concentrating on the conversation while driving that gets people to do crazy ****.
I found this online - it's the summary of the episode, just skim it, there's too much added info but some of you might like reading the whole thing, the bottom sums it up though
Cellphone vs. Drunk Driving
Myth: It is just as dangerous to talk on a cellphone as it is to drive drunk.
A British study that asked subjects to do memory tests, reasoning, and mental arithmetic, found that cellphone use did hurt driving. The study also compared it to drunk driving, though Adam didn't describe the exact results of that comparison.
For this mythbusting, they wanted to focus on the talking aspect of cellphones, instead of dialing, as drivers would some sense to them would dial when the car was not moving.
For the test they used Kari and Adam as the test drivers and they went to Infineon Raceway near Sonoma. The test course had four parts:
Accelerate to 30mph and then stop at a stop sign.
Parallel park
Time trial: average 15mph through the whole course (not faster or slower)
Accident avoidance: while going 30mph, told to switch to left, right, or center lane
Each part was graded by an instructor who was in the car with them.
Sober/Control Run
Both Adam and Kari passed the course, though Kari had a bit of trouble parallel parking.
Cellphone Run
For the cellphone run, Jamie talked to the driver on a cellphone asking three types of questions:
repeat the sentence (e.g. "The driver was stopped for driving 67mph in a 20mph zone")
verbal puzzle "If Jack stole Ann's ball, who's the thief", and the more difficult, "If you see a picture with a diamond, rectangle, and a circle, and the circle is to the right of the rectangle, and directly above the diamond, is the rectangle right above the diamond?"
list five things about a particular subject "Give me five things that are in the interior of your car," "Give me five things that are part of your daily work."
Kari failed, including offenses such as using her elbow to steer and failing over half of the obstacles. Adam failed as well.
FYI: Kari's answers to "give things that are part of your dialy work" included: "Kissing ***" and "doing my hair." Adam's daily work list included the more boring: "drilling and tapping," "making phone calls," "Checking my e-mail," "avoiding phone calls from certain people."
Drunk Driving Run
Both Adam and Kari got their blood alcohol level to just below 0.08 (legal limit), with police officers on hand to do the breathalyzer. Neither Adam nor Kari had eaten, so both were as hungry as they were tipsy.
Kari zipped through the stop sign, but her parallel parking was "one of her best efforts... marginally good." She went too fast through the time trial part and killed a couple cones. She failed again, but not as bad as with the cellphone test.
Adam failed the parking test, and "half failed" the time trial for not looking both ways. Overall he failed as well.
Overall
The cellphone tests were failed by a much bigger margin, though Adam's observation was that you can put down a cellphone -- you can't get instantly undrunk. Also, they tested the drunk driving below the California legal limit -- Adam, at least, has gotten much drunker for MythBuster tests than that.

i was rearended on coronado bridge last october by a male a**hole trying to drive a mercedes benz 2 seater convertible at a rate of speed at least twice exceeding speed of sound/light, much less law, now my DD is a 1986 za31 slicktop N/A with large dent above my beautiful bullet exhaust. i am female. i am not young. i am not in lust with the almitey cellphone and the almitey benzosodomatic. i miss the shape of my z31 body--even tho' the incident allowed me to get my 50 AE--so i drive a high mileage dented up Z--i wish others knew how to DRIVE, instead of pile into smaller cars just because someone of the opposite sex decided to get into it on the fone while the schmuck was attempting to steer his MB across a bridge. i do not believe only certain people are not functional behind a steering wheel--MOST people are not good at the job--too bad bob bondurant doesn't give drivers ed classes!!!!!
Yep, stupidity knows no bounds....YEAY, at least I'm not the only female Z driver that actually cares for their car on this site ^^. would that $2k be for dinner :P? j/k, I hope i never lose my daily driver that way.
wow, that took forever to read, im never leaving this site for 4 days again, and LWW......are your duaghter cute? haha, just kidding, i got rules about dating, 1: 17 and older (for now age will rise) 2: they are cute, and nice (duh) and 3: live within 32 miles of lemont IL. so i think your safe L double you squared.
