Champion Platinums

Normally I run Bosch Platinum plugs, but recently had to go with Champion Platinums cause that's all they had at the time. I was wondering if anyone has had problems with these because since then it doesn't seem "all there". It could be a couple other things, but I thought I'd ask about these first.

Thanks...

I personally have a had a lot of trouble with Champions. On one than more occasion with those plugs I've had a car start running bad, pull the plugs and the ceramic around the electrode has broken and slid down covering it and almost completely restricting the spark. Lately I try to stick with the Bosch or Autolite and as of yet I've had no problems.

Using anything other than NGK V-Power plugs is like pouring water in your gas tank. Bosch makes great plugs... so do a lot of other companies. But, only NGK will work right in the Z (with a slight exception for Nippon-Denso). Plus... the NGK's are usually cheaper.

Rod is correct. The Bosch Platinum plugs are really designed for European motors and I've never had as good performance from them as I do when running the NGK's.

I run stock BPR6ES11's in my NA and BR7ES11's in the turbo.

Go down and pick up a set of NGK's for $1.25 each and swap those in.

HI Carl I have had a set of ac delco rapid fires in my '81 and he runs real strong! A friend of mine before suggested I get those, and they have worked great!
