That sucks sorry to hear and see that. I only have my one Turbo hood, and it is on my Bluestreak. But if I had another one. I would've hooked you up. Check the bone-yards, e-bay, and see what you can find. That really hurts just looking at your car. Tough break man, but at least you didn't park under a station wagon. Like I did, I destroyed my whole front-end on my '81. That is the main reason he is down. He runs pretty damn good for an original engine with over 133,000 miles! I could drive him right now. But I don't want to drive something, that looks like it came from the junkyard. I mean bailing wire holding the headlights in, rope keeping the hood on. At least the frame is allright, and all the way to the rear of the car. I got lucky in that respect. But I have to get a whole front body piece cut off a wreck, and then have it welded on perfectly straight, and aligned, so the body parts will go back on him right. That is mainly why I am trying to get my '82 running. Granted he does have dents and dings here and there. But you have to look at him just right. Anyway sorry about my rambling, just like to release some pressure. But anyway I wish you luck on fixing your Z, back to where it was before. And also finding another hood. It shouldn't be too difficult. Because as long as you get one from either a Turbo, or n/a '82-'83 they are the same.

That sucks man! Get the car down to a body shop they should be able to fill that with some welds and grind it back to shape. Or get if you or some one you know can weld you can do it yourself and save some money. Just get it as straight as you can first. That bondo wont last too long right there on an edge like that.

I have another turbo hood that has some damage to it. Less than yours though. We can trade hoods if you want. I'll get some pics later.

hey if you need to find some parts for your Z there's an all nissan (& some toyota) junkyard down on 40th street bettween I-10 and University. Last time i was there they had 15 to 20 different Z cars on the lot. if you're looking for body parts they're ripe for the picking. got myself a set of perfect headlight buckets there for $25. too bad one of them got smashed while i was moving

Actually Wildman has the website.. There is 2 warehouses 2 miles down the street from my house on cavecreek and deervalley that has a shitload of "like new" Z and ZX parts.. It is rediculous.. I got my doors from them for 80 a piece gutted but absolutly no rust what so ever...

Yeah thanks 007 for the info. If you want the website to all Z cars. Here it is for you. www.zcarsource.com. That is the one that s/cL3.0 is talking about. It is a pretty cool place, just some stuff is kinda pricey. But overall, for the inventory not bad at all.

yeah i've seen that site before, but based on their posted prices i couldn't afford to shop there guess i should have gotten around to going there in person while i was still in AZ huh.... is there anything decent interior-wise there? the place i'm talking about didn't have anything worth salvaging in that department
