Another one...

I can't seem to get a break...

Anyways, so one of freeze plugs is leaking (the first one - one closest to A/C)

My question is - can I remove this plug without having to take off the intake and exhaust? I was wondering if I remove the A/C then I should have enough clearance to pop it out and install a new one.

Also, what could cause this plug to leak? It's a brand new plug.

It may have an imperfection in it that is letting it leak. If you have a clear shot at it then you can take it out and replace it, you may have more room if you remove the A/C. Back in the day my buddies and I used the rubber ones with the nut in the middle to expand them in the opening and never had one leak...good for those hard to reach areas....just make sure you get it tight and test/look for leaks, if done right you shouldn't have any problems...plus you can remove them pretty easy if need be. $3.00 at an auto parts store (Expansion Freeze Plug)
