280zxt R200 Diff Cover Removal

Can the diff cover be removed from a 1982ZXT with an R200 diff without taking the drive line off, unbolting the diff and moving it forward? This is the only thing I can see so the diff cover with the insulator can slide off the bolt. Did not know if there was an easier / faster way to get the diff cover off. Want to change leaking gasket, inspect gears and replace insulator. I do have all the bolts and nuts off of the cover and the insulator.

you can take the rear mount bolts off, then from the interior remove the big foam cover from the floor. you will see 2 bolts going front to rear. remove those and lift out the the "box" it has the long bolt the rear diff mount attaches to. then the rear cover is easy to access. if you have all the bolts underneath removed sometimes the rubber mount falls right off and you can hear it bounce on the floor

Thanks Shady280. I am going to take your advice and go through the top and remove the "box". That's seems to be a much easier way to go.

I went to the top of bolt that holds the insulator/diff cover, but cannot get the box to move upward. I have hit the bolt a little from the bottom to see if I could get the box/bolt to move upward with no movement. Did not want to hit it to hard. Then tried to pry the box out with a screwdriver and a piece of wood, but no movement. I have tried to attach some pictures to show the locations of where I am working and that I have all the bolts and nuts removed for everything to come off. Any help would be great.Attachment 10992

With a little more inspection, I found what Shady280 was saying. There is a square bolt setup holding "The Box" in place. I removed the nuts just north of the diff and having to drop the gas tank, was able to remove the bolts holding the box and removed the box. Now on with putting it back together. Thanks again Shady280.
