280zx Rear Strut Mounts
 

Hello,

This is my first post here. I have an '83 280zx I just bought and I'm replacing the old worn out suspension. The only problem I've run into is I cant really find any replacement rear strut mounts. No one carries them and I cant find them online, except for about $55 each at zcarsource and thezstore. Are these the only places to get them? Or is there a cheaper place? Because the front strut mounts were about $16 each.

Are you talking about the bushing inside the strut at the bottom of the strut?

No, its the bit that goes in between the car and the strut on top of the strut.

On this diagram on pg 47 the item is numbered 70.

Its called a "STRUT MOUNT INSULATOR".

Are yours worn out, or what? I just did the rear suspension on my car about a year ago and they were fine. They really shouldn't be worn at all.

I havent checked the back ones yet because I've been rebuilding the front. I was just assuming that they would be worn out or something. If that's the case tho, I wont replace them. No sense in replacing them if they dont need it. Thanks for the replies.
