15" "swastika" rims
15" "swastika" rims
I've been looking at a lot of options for rims. What I've come up with is that most of the custom rims: #1 wiegh more #2 cost more that I want to spend.
So-- If the turbo "swastika" rims are 15x8 or 15x7 (I can't remember which) and weigh 10lbs... Would that be a logical choice? I mean, really! My ZX is black, I could get them powder coated....black.
Whaddya think?

The turbo rims weigh about 14 lbs. and are 15X6. They're fairly light compared to most rims. I think black would look pretty good, I have a pic of a Z with powdercoated turbo rims somewhere.... I'd have to look for it though as I took the pic like 4 years ago. lol If you want extreme light weight, check out Volk Racing TE37's. They make 15X7 in the 0 offset, but you'd have to have a supplier order them from Japan since nobody really uses a 0 offset rim anymore. If you get the wheel adaptors from Modern Motorsports to use + offset rims, Rota rims are fairly light and so are the Enkei RPF1's. Racing Hart CP035's are super light too.

Ok...Well I thought they were wider. Please find the pics of those rims black! I'd love a preview.
Yeah, I've looked at those rims you described. I'm more into the classic look and lines of the stock rims. Right now I have the six-spoke rims with the gold painted center area on the spokes. I just wanted to jazz things up a bit, and keep with the stock look.

ive got the.....swastika...lol...rims and im thinking about grinding them.....hmm..how to explain...has anyone seen metal that has been grinded with swirl marks from the grinder and they keep that as a design (ive seen it on alot of tool boxes and stuff like that)....ive never seen that on a rim, does anyone else think that would be sweet? well ive got to go...peace!
Yea I know what your talking about... The brushed aluminum look type deal.
My opinion... I dont think that would look too good... Im MY opinion, its not my car, so do what you please
.
Im getting my Z32 up on a lift, taking off the wheels, popping off the tires, bead blasting them up real nice, bondo'ing the wheel in it's entirety. Getting my bud over at the cosmetic's shop to powder coat them black, then we're going to paint the outer rim (right next to the tire) red, to match my cars color. And of course the center cap's will be painted black, with the Z emblem red.
This should make Redbird look awesome... In MY opinion, haha.
(By the way... The black on black idea... AWESOME idea. Go for it!)

well, it all depends on where you are uploading to. Since you uploaded that image to zdriver, they may have built-in tools that rename the image and apply a standard amount of compression which eliminates color quality to save on disk space. If you have your own web site you can upload them there and maintain any quality you want. I'm not talking about free or cheapo web sites; REAL ones.
Are you a web designer? If so, would IM me at NISMO LMR, or E-Mail me at NISMOLMR@aol.com... Or just give me your E-Mail... I need to talk to a web designer. Thanks bro
