I just bought a K&N cone filter off ebay and I was just wondering what size everyone else was using or they went with something different. Also, should I make the pipe out of PVC pipe or buy an aluminum pipe?

 

I used an intake from an acura integra GSR for the 90 degree bend and lopped off that small 30 degree bend on the end of it. I topped off the filter tube with one of autozone's finest.... some crappy $20 cone filter from the import performance aisle. There was absolutely no noticable gain in hp or torque from this modification.

Come to think of it, my Z car is really slow! the compression test was fine (140-150 psi) and it runs really smooth. I still haven't figured out what's causing it to die in the top end yet....

 

Wow! that really is HUGE! lol...that is crazy. So, all I really need is a 90 degree bend and maybe a little bit of pipe? I could use 3.5 aluminum pipe right and just get a mandrel bent one. That is what I was thinking about doing.
