To me, its parts 1 and 2. the two that are normally replaced.

Part 1 Is Distributor Cap
part 2 Is Rotor

Are you asking what a dizzy is in general, or a specific part called a dizzy?

"Dizzy" is short for distributor (a slang term, if you will...). It includes everything... cap, rotor, base, etc.

Got it I see all these referenced to the dizzy and was unsure if was a part of the distributor
And dizzy was its nickname or the entire distributor.
