Looks like a dirty cup of coffee! How about another pic... like from the top. Did you pull it out from somewhere? Is it bolted in? Are there wires or tubes to it????

WITH THAT BRACKET IT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN BOLTED SOMEWHERE BUT I CAN FIND IT. WHEN I GOT THE CAR THAT THING WAS JUST LAYING DOWN BEHIND THE DRIVERS HEADLIGHT. THE WIRES GO TO THAT OPENING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE ENGINE BAY. AFTER LOOKING AT IT I THOUGHT IS IT POSSIBLY A AUTO CLIMATE SENSOR(I KNOW STUPID IDEA)??? OR MAYBE SOMETHING FOR THAT AFTERMARKET ALARM SYSTEM WITH THE KEY HOLE IN THE FENDER THAT IM ALSO REMOVING??? THX HERE ARE MORE PICS

Just lookin at the bracket that holds it in. It's don't look factory, cause there's nothin there to bolt to. The metal sqaure bottom ain't even the same color as the metal part's found on these year car's. don't have enough gold in it. Those two wire's look like they go to the extra fluid tank that sits there on turbo's. And the two rivits that hold the wire net on are not even the same type that Nissan used back in that day. My Guess. It ain't factory.

Maby it's the rare Speaker to the alarm system. Would fit for that purpose.

that alarm in the fender is not aftermartket. it was an opgrade option on the turbo's. and Nissan's way of early alram system's for there car's. Just remove it and see how she runs

I was going to say myself that it looked like an old school horn for an alarm...take it off and hook the wires directly to the battery...make sure you record the sound for us

I had the same exact thing in my '82. And it is a n/a. I still have the crazy thing, and the keyhole in my driver's side fender. Yeah I am pretty sure it is a alarm of some kind. Maybe I will see if it makes any noise. he he.
