I have looked and researched previous posts, I can't seem to find an answer or help to my problem. I'm swaping a '82 non turbo automatic to a '83 turbo 5spd engine. The engine swap is in place, my problem now is that the motor wont turn(before it was removed from the '83 the motor was working fine, infact I drove the car around the lot eventhough it was a parts car I bought it with no title everything worked perfectly). It sounds like when you have a bad starter that will just click everytime you hit the key. I swaped the complete turbo engine, harness, ECU, turbo fuel pump and fuel tank, AMF, the only thing I'm not sure is the connection to the alternator. I can't find a diagram or a picture to that connection. If anyone has any info please let me know.

if you turn the key and hear a click you have a loose/cut wire by the starter or you dont have it hooked up right, if you dont hear a click then its more then likely a relay/fuse... if all else fails just put a push button start..

I believe it was Fubar who recently had this prob too & found out he never disconnected the automatic "inhibitor switch" that will disable the starter if the switch isn't in Park.

how to disable the "inhibitor switch"? I'm not sure of the connection to the alternator. I can't find and diagram or a picture to that connection. If anyone has any pics or info please let me know.

no and Autozone can not get me one or Napa I just dount remember how the three wires hook up?
