K&N is a air filter setup, the tornado is as well. The tornado is suppose to spin the air as it goes through your intake to the get air there faster. Personally never used one just seen there ad and i think its a gimmick...................

I used to work with a guy who had a last gen Rx-7 turbo and he upgraded to the tornado intake when it was a brand new product. Where it would cost him like $120 to get a K&N intake, he got the tornado for like $80 because it was a new product and they wanted to get it out there at a lower price and established. The whirlwind effect is just a gimmick, but its still a highflow intake like the K&N and others, it does the same thing, so either would work fine. But if you open up your hood and show off your tornado intake i think you'd look more like a dork
