So, what can be removed. I have removed.
1. A/C..Didn't work. Hoses, Compressor, All Gone

2. Speed Controller..Everything under the hood, plus controller. All Gone

3. Cat....Gone

Now what about VCM, it controls EGR and AAC, I would like get rid of all
3, Good not Good.....Problems ?

Also that Idle control thing with the hoses coming in and out, on top of Intake, can this go also.

Emergency Pop Off valve on top of intake, heck my turbo puts out so little cant see where it would ever come into play, and it looks like a grease stack on a restaurant, it needs gone.

just get a non egr manifold and do this, its the best way to go :D remove everything!

Question.... Does it matter if its a turbo ? Your engine bay is a work of art !

Were did you get the piping clamps, forget what they are called.

So it can all go away, perfect, tired of looking at it. Im sure most of the stuff dosent work anyway. But the car runs pretty good. Once I get that done Im going to tackle the Turbo Problem. Kind of fun getting rid of stuff !

Well, mine is turbo too, but with a tune-able ecu. Your cold starts might be rougher due to removing AAC etc, depending if you live in a cold climate/plan on year-round driving. Just make sure you either remove or plug whatever is on the other ends of all the hoses so there is no leaks.

They are Tbolt clamps, I had a kit long ago, think either ebay or amazon, but I am finding them at the local tool/farm/hardware store nowdays too. I think also any trucking parts store/service would have them if you don't have any performance shops around.

^^^ Yup. The stock turbo manifold doesn't like it when the AAC actuator is removed... causes idle problems. But the AAC / EGR VCM can all be removed... and should be when you run a Z31T ECU / MAF (which cleans up the engine bay even more). :)

So, I removed the AAC, and like you said, a little rough for about 15 sec or so, Ill take it, spent about 6 hour removing the A/C compressor, what a bitch, there's just not enough room to get it out of there. Finally removed sway bar on one end and got it out. What a battle. Got my new CV shafts today, yea. Tomorrow VCM is getting out of there, its nice that Im retired, Work on my Z all day, thats what I call having a good time.

Does the EGR need to be removed or can I just plug the Vacuum, at this point I dont have a plate to go over the hole, and when I do, what happens to the pipe running to the exhaust ( down pipe ).\

When I removed the AAC and used a block off plate, the engine would always die coming off throttle...

Wow.....Yall have some really nice set ups, Its pretty much art, would like to see another picture, this time with the same overhead shot just closer so all you see is the engine bay. You should be very proud, and Im sure you are, alot of work and alot of hours, and alot of time studying which way to go.
When I was checking my AAC the FSM said you should only have vacuum on the line connected to the AAC when ever like you say coming off Throttle , but I had Vacuum there all the time. Meaning my VCM was I guess bad, heck its only what 35 years old. I will see what happens when I get it on the street. Im kinda lucky I live on a dead end street, approx 1 mile long that has just been paved really nice, no cars at all , and not in the city , basically my own drag strip. thought I had another VCM somewhere, I have so many extra parts. Bad solenoid I think. What year car is that.

Great view, thanks. Love the fuel rail. It has a different Brake master cylinder then my 82, and a slightly different heat shield for the master cylinder. I noticed you have a AAC but no vacuum line going to it?. Such a clean setup. I enjoy working on my car, but love driving it more. But cant do one without the other. Do you ever get to the point when you say, Im done !
