There are 3 wires open around the distributor. A blue with a yellow stripe a yellow wire, and a green wire that comes off the distributor connector. The blue wire from the same connector is connected to the blue with a white stripe wire. The last owner just decided he wanted to hack up the wiring. Don't get me started on the injector wires.. It is on a 1982 280zx non turbo coupe. Thanks.

Looks like the yellow one is to the coolant temp sensor for the gauge and the other two go to the thermotime switch. Both are located on the front of the thermostat housing. Make sure you have downloaded the FSM in the Welcome PM link. All the wiring diagrams and color codes are found in the FSM.
