To tell you the truth I am not unhappy with the diff I have in my car even thogh it is factory, it holds up prity good, and I can go damn fast. I have good take off to, jugding from what I call the space shuttle affect when you get set back in your seat. I have never timed the car, but I think it would do alright. I think I could atleast brake 12 secounds in 1/4 mile.

Just to clarify, it's the gear ratio on the diff that makes the speed different. I just want to distinguish that from this thread topic LSD (differentials... not gear ratios).

LSD will help you grab more, but it's the gear ratio that you'd deal with when concerned about track time.

most defenatly, I was just saying that I don't have a problem with burning them down too much so no need in doing the hole lsd if I have good traction, and if I didn't I would not only chage to Lsd I would change ratio see what I was saying two in one.

To get A little more technicla about it or more in detaile it is the pinion and ring gear drive and driven. biger pinion smaller ring. driven devided by drive will give you your exact ratio.

Man you should see some of the mack dual reduction differentials I work on man you talk about some tuff **** man they are truly bullet proof. I worked on an IAD out of a long haul frieghtliner and that jack *** shock loaded the power devider and the spiders cross just busted and flew out in there the clutch coler was shaterd the first drive axle spiders were a little chewed up too, but they didn't shatter like the Inter axle diff power devider did. I found all three parts of the cross, and one of the spiders was logded over by the side gear and pinion. that was eaton fuller.
