Injector surprise

Pulled the fuel rail to day and found the injectors with a surprise on #2 and #5...there is no nozzle. has anyone ever seen this? Now do I need to pull the head to make sure nothing is in the cylinder?

after pulling the injectors out of the fuel rail.it appears they are two different models. Must have been replaced by previous owner. Will it hurt to run different manufacturers injectors?

Hmmmm

Got to wonder where they went, hard to tell, but are all the bodies identical ? They could just be replacements with a slightly different design. If they are all the same, and two tips are missing then it's a good thing if they were plastic, and didn't do any damage passing through the system. Hopefully someone with a bit more experience with these will chime in. I am about to do what you did, remove my rail and injectors, add a new fuel rail, new o-rings and a new intake/ exhaust gasket, and do 6an braided fuel lines

Stock

I will be reinstalling the stock ones, so far they are fine, I did get a barbed rail, had considered getting an o-ring style rail, but sadly I can't afford new injectors atm.

Different injectors

I am no expert, but I know injectors are usually a matched set, with all basically matching flows, by adding 2 different ones to the mix could cause some issues. The s130 is a common pulse injection system, all the injectors fire together, not independently, so perhaps by virtue of design, a fully matching set isn't as important. This would be a good question for Nismopick or one of the other Guru's. I am only a Guru in training, you know the old saying, he has probably forgotten more about Z's than I will ever know.
