I Can't figure this one out! NEED HELP!!
Ok here it is, I was working on my z and I finally got it started again. Well, I just put new spark plugs, cap and rotor, and wires in. I started it up and went for a drive and it was amazing. It ran really well. Well, I got back to my house and I forgot I had a new O2 sensor to put in. That was kind of a pain to put in because the other one was stuck but I got it in. I expected it to start and for my car to run a lot better. It didn't start at all. I thought maybe it was the coil so I went and bought a new accel super stock coil and put it in and it still wont start. It turns over but it acts like it isnt getting any spark or something. What can cause this to happen? The last thing I want to do is take it to the shop, so please help.

this amazes me...
some people dont trouble shoot things and go out and buy quick without thinking..
Shouldnt be your coil..
Reset the ECU take off the battery lead tap it a few times onto the terminal and re connect.
Take #1 plug lead off. pull the rubber back hold the lead and get someone to crank it over..if you dont have Silcon suppresion leads you will get a jolt
but get a screwdriver in the end and hold it close to a good earth it should spark across the screwdriver to the earth on the body.

right
I didn't just go out and buy quick.
I needed new plugs, wires, and the cap and rotor.
It was time to refresh them a bit.
Plus, I already checked for a spark. That is why I thought it might have been the coil. Already one step a head of you.
I'm going to check to see if I'm getting fuel. I've been going to college in the morning and working at night so I havn't had the time to work on my z yet. I only have a 1 hour break before I start work.

Yeah...reset the ECU. Also, check to see if your plugs are wet after you try to start.
My Z was doing that and I cleaned them all off, let the cylinders dry out, regapped the plugs to .8mm, and it started up the first time.

Check your vacuum lines, the slightest leak will make the car hard to start or not start at all. Believe me, I just went through this last weekend with my Z. Tiniest little leaks and they made my car not start!

I don't understand at all. I'm getting fuel, i'm getting spark, vacuum lines are all set, and everything seems to be fine. I got it started today and drove it to work it worked well. Then I came out of work to go home and it wouldn't stay started. It started but then shut off after about 2 seconds or just a little more. It is like it is an electrical problem but everything seems to be fine. No loose wires anywhere that I can find. What else could it be?

What year is your Z? I had a similar problem and it was the leads to the fuel pump. There is a set of bullet connectors to it under the floormat behind the passenger seat on the 280Z & ZX. If one of theleads gets heavily corroded or a bit loose you can have an intermittent pump.

Yeah...good call on the fuel pump leads!!!
Try turning your key to the "on" position without starting the car. Make sure that you have the radio off and the door is closed. You should hear the fuel pump humm for a few seconds and kick off. If you don't hear anything, you need a new one.

Your wire to the O2 is hooked up and not corroded at all? Just curious since after you changed it is when it ran rough. Your fuel filter is good too? If it's old it could be clogged. Hope you get your Z running.

I would check your fusible links this happened to me at about 80MPH I lost all power. I pulled over had the car towwed home replaced everything like you have and still nothing. Just for fun I looked at the links and replaced them because they looked corroded. This solved the problem.
