yes, i have a 81 280 zx it apparently appears to be leaking antifreeze or water some where, when i let the car idle for a few seconds i can smell almost a mapple syrup smell then a little bit of white smoke when i hit the system check button in the car it blinks water and shows a radiator now i was just wondering if any one else had ever had this problem with their z this is the first z car i have owned and other than this slight leak the car has proven to be alot of fun for me, yet as the days go by im learning more and more crap bout this thing, also i was wondering what are some cheaper modifications that can be done to increase performance in the z car, please help me out if you know anything helpful thank you

Probably a leaky hose from being old, check the ones to the radiator, and the ones to the throttle body. If they are in good condition, they probably just need to be tightened. If your car is a/t, check the lines from the tranny to the radiator. Cheap mods are MSA headers, MSA exhaust, custom intake, and 240SX throttle body. Should get a noticeable gain in driveability.
