fuel relay

I recently have picked up a 1981 280zx base model. The car had been sitting in a barn for 5 years. After checking all fluids the oil looked new and it didn't have any fuel in it and there was no battery. I put fuel in it and jumped it with some cables and after 4 or 5 cranks it started. I let it run for about 3 min. and when I took the cables off it died. I guess you need a battery for this car to run. The car would not start again after that. I think it was flooding out. I put a battery in it and still was flooding. I decided to take out the #2 fuel relay and the car will start and run without it but if I put it back in the car dies and will not start. It does idle a bit rough but runs. Has anyone seen this before? any help in the right direction is appreciated.

Welcome to ZDriver!

First, make sure you've downloaded the FSM: XenonZcar.com S130 Factory Service manuals

Second, do some tests of the CHTS, and AFM. Also test to see if all 6 injectors are firing. Read the spark plugs, etc etc etc...

I tried most of the fuel system tests on the computer. The only thing that failed was the thermotime switch and exhaust gas test. I tried to disconnect the extra fuel injector but still no help.
