engine mod. guestions

I've heard that you can use a crankshaft out of a disel maxima, would I have to modify the block or anythingat all?

It is more complex than that, usually takes awhile to build the parts, and gets expensive.

For a mere 6 cubes or so, it wasn't worth it to me to entertain the idea.
