EFI harness

Quick question.. Does anyone happen to know if the EFI harness unhooks somewhere(83' Turbo) Im looking in the 82' ZX manual from carfiche.com and it doesnt look like it does and I doubt it would anyways. I just figured I would ask because it would make things a lot easier if i could just pull it out. I traced it back almost to the firewall and no luck yet.

THanks
Rob

What do you mean "unhook" ?

The L28ET wiring harness is pure plugs on the ecu side of the car & they all can be removed. I believe there are 1 or 2 power wires that run from left to right against the firewall to the fuse link box by the battery & to the fuse box at the passenger foot. Those wires are usually cut to remove.

I pulled the entire turbo harness from my donor car without clipping a single wire. Do as Nismo says and unplug everything from the ECU and pull those wires through the firewall into the engine bay. Unplug everything from the engine itself and then all's you'll have left are the wires running across the firewall to the passenger side of the engine compartment. I know 2 wires go into the fuse link box (these can be removed with a small flathead screwdriver), and I'm not sure where else the wires go to (it's been a little while). But I distinctively remember not cutting anything. I used a micro screwdriver to remove wiring from relays and whatnot.

Thank you guys for your help.. thats exactly what I needed to know. and ya I meant unplug not unhook. I was thinking I would have to cut a bunch of wires.
