ECU Wiring

Alright, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for the ECU wiring. I got in my car yesterday and it started its old sputtering and popping crap. I wiggled the ECU connectors and bam it was right back to normal. So I'm trying to figure out what is exactly the problem. I went and cleaned at least the 3 grounds that I know of in the engine bay on my Turbo Z. Cleaned them, and tightened them down making sure they don't move. I wonder if it's just a connection that is becoming loose, or is it just corrosion in the connectors? Any recommendations? Or do you pretty much need to rewire/resolder the wiring connections?

I had the same prob, as well as Thxone. I spent all together about an hour & a half of the car idling & me wiggling wires to finally narrow it down to the farthest bottom wires on the lowest ecu plug. They were the black ground wires & found that there is a factory splice / coupler that wasn't placed well. I cut it out & rewired that part & had no probs since.

Now yours might not be those exact wires... but wiggle away until you narrow it down.

That factory Splice/coupler, where is it? Because at least when my issue occurred I wiggled the bottom connector, but I'm going to do your method.

Edit: Turns out it may have just been my grounds after all, the car originally never had a problem related to the ECU and it's wiring prior to pulling the manifolds, and I figured that's the only thing that really got messed with, besides I was wiggling the wires while idling and driving and it seemed to make no difference this time around. So looks like going through, cleaning my grounds with electrical cleaner, a razer blade, and then make sure they were tightened down well did the trick.
