Distro, vacuum?

Ok Im curios, I heard that if you run the vac Advance from the dizzy on manifold Vacuum its better for it instead of its current ported vacuum.

Anyone know if this is true?

i know what your talking about, i think this was a recent find that was a mistake(put the wrong hose in the wrong place) the guy said he would look into it but idk if the guy has posted any new info on his findings...

Hmm... Maybe I should try it too lol I cant see what it would hurt besides timing

I know Shady runs his n/a @ 15 degrees and has no vacuum advance.

SHADY280 Mar 4, 2009 04:56 PM

:) yuppers, if i run octane booster i run 20 deg! vac advance is for granny driving and fuel milage at cruise. i had the curve checked on my dizzy, they are perfect from the factory, no tweaking ness.

My engines are to old to even try to read timing marks. just got to go on pull, fuel usage, and smoothness at idle
