Dismantling CV Axles?
 

The tripod bearing part, how do you get that off the axle? The axle is peened over on the end to retain it, is it just a matter of putting it all on a big enough press or are the peened over bits supposed to be ground off first? Or?

I don't have a 280ZX manual, mine is a S30 which is being converted to CV half shafts. Thanks for any assistance :)

Problem solved, the S12 has similar CV's and the manual for it says to simply press the tripods/spiders off the axle.
