Clutch problems need help ASAP!!!!

Ok....The clutch pedal has been acting a little wierd lately, but I thought it's been due to the cooler weather we've been having here in Dallas lately. The pedal won't go all the way up when I let my foot off. I have had to stick my toe under the pedal to raise it all the way. On the way home from work, it just stopped working all together and I had to drive it like a semi truck. Thankfully, I didn't have to come to a complete stop. I did check the fluid in the resovoir, it's full, but looks like black mud...not nice and clear.

I'm going out to see what I can do, but I'll have my wife looking in to see if anyone has posted. This is my daily driver, so I need this to work tonight...hopefully. Thanks in advance!!!

Well, I bled it out, filled it with nice new fluid, and it works like new. I was sweating there for a minute, 'cause the last clutch I worked on was back in like '84 on a '78 Jeep. No hydraulic assist on that one!

Thanks for bailing me out again!!! Next time I'm in your neck of the woods, the beers are on me!

Hey ice, just curious. What would make the clutch fluid turn all black and mucky? Am I burning up something, or could it be that it's just old fluid and needs replaced.....like I did last night?
