canadian federal and california cars

How many differant configurations were available in 1980. I have people telling me my car needs parts from that are only on california vehicles, or federal vehicles, or canadian vehicles. Were there two federal designs that year?

I don't know if Canada got their own unique version, but the Federal and California cars are VERY different.

The easiest way to tell the difference is to see if your car has a seperate intake tube coming off the air filter box and going into a small litlle box near the ignition coil. If it does, it's a Federal car (that part is the "air induction valve"). It's ONLY on 1980 Federal cars.
