Boost Gauge.....

Well I finally finished redoing my interior and puttting in my suspension and boy am I excited to drive the car. I just have a few small things left.

My problem is I cant get my boost gauge to work. I made sure it was hooked up on the gauge side properly and it was. I tried teeing into the vacuum hose that that comes from the "Boost Sensor" since thats were the stock one gets its signal and its just staying at 0. The stock gauge still works fine though.

I checked that hose when the car is running and it felt like it was sucking in air, shouldn't it be blowing? So do I just need to T into a different hose?

Thanks for the help,
Rob

KTM, your intake should register vacume until engine load is sig. I'm pretty sure stock turbo'd motors will never make boost in neutral (ie: no load). I'm guessing that since you say your stock gauge is working fine, the one that isn't is an aftermarket gauge you're trying to hook up. A question - you've taken the car out w/the new gauge hooked up & it's not registering boost at that time (& the factory gauge is)? I think tee-ing off of your fuel pressure regulator line is perf. safe, also real easy. If you do that & when driving under boost, the aftermarket gauge is not registering boost, esp if at that same time the factory gauge is, then it must be a bad aftermarket gauge.

why would t-ing off the fuel pressure regulator have anything to do with boost

I wasn't spec enough there, apologies. I meant 'fuel pressure regulator's vacume line'

Hey, thanks for the help. I feel pretty stupid. I didnt even think that its not going to move just sitting still because the gauge I bought starts at 0psi and doesnt go into negative. So once I bleed my brakes ill check.

Thanks
Rob
