i like it!! need some flares. what kind of rims are those, i kinda like them.

frank280zx 05-27-2007 12:40 AM

They are Borbet A's

i have the center caps but ill be running them without.. gives a more racy look i think.

I do not need flares for my setup sofar :) the wheel stay in the well, i just need to remove the little lip or roll it, for safety.

Yeh with rolled lips you can go wide as it is, the 9.5 x 17 rear wheels on mine will be good with ~255/40 R tyres. Don't want the effective track too wide for circuit work, otherwise it may be too difficult to control with the power which will be available :045:

frank280zx 05-27-2007 02:24 AM

I have 275 for the rear ( 10J from my measurements that will work out fine, however we will all find out soon enough :) .) the fronts are 8,5's

SHADY280 05-27-2007 04:40 PM

then roll them lips!! where do ya get wheels like those, i need some extra 17's for auto-x and the race car. so 2 sets. they prolly cost a grand per set knowing my luck. seems nobody else here really cares aboot ultimate handling?!? ever get that impression? ill be trying a simmilar setup on my track car. i got the top camber plates just like yours. i just gotta figure out the upper bearing part. prolly simple, you explained it b4, i just never clued in without pix :)

There seems to be some opinion that the S130 won't handle so why bother. But with the stock suspension in good condition they do handle well, trouble is the stock suspension is usually in bad shape after 25 or so years and it shows.

frank280zx 05-28-2007 12:11 AM

LWW they are cusco plates for a legacy ( read only 125 instead of 180 and up ! :) ) i do need to reinforce the strut tower though!

Ok, Frank, don't be coy. What year and body style Legacy? What did you use for the rear?

I think they are 88/89 model year (so the boxy one)
On the rear i run cusco s13 plates.. Useless for the trailing arm design, but i found a good deal on ebay. Cheaper than pillow ball plates.. witch they essentially are, also they fit with no adaptation.
Actually i only use these on the rear to loose some extra height of the rear struts, and thus giving more lowering/raising adjustability.

^now that i dont follow^

snwbrderphat540 06-05-2007 07:24 PM

hmmm.... i like that camber plate idea looks pretty simple, well, for the most part lol.... and what kind of steering wheel is that? is it adjustable length/detatchable? just curious since i will need to be replacing mine.
