lowerd datsun

im looking to lower my datsun...its been a huge project of mine to revive and modifie my car, iv done everything from cut off the top, to skyline tail lights and custom interior. i have rims for it but they look strange the way it sits...i was wondering what my options were for lowing it besides air ride suspension...its a 79 thanks for the help!

Who makes coilovers for the 280ZX?

johntlr1000 11-03-2004 06:29 AM

coilovers

Arizonazcar.com makes some of the nicest coilovers that I have ever seen with full crom aoly control arms but the run $1500 a wheel. They also switch to a five lug hub soo you get many more wheel options.

Graham_Creager 11-03-2004 12:47 PM

thats a little to expensive, im looking to drop it a few inches...i have seen the 1 in. springs but i was hoping there was somthing else...does anyone know of any springs that might fit a 280zx? mabey they sell them that lower it more then 1 in. thanks for the help

tokico lowering springs and struts.. theyll lower your car about 1.5" if your going with the stock 14" rom.. youll be scraping every speed bump you go over.. even at angles... im runnig then on my car with 17" and i think its got a really good looking stance...

On Arizonazcar's website, I see no coilovers for the 280zx and I see nothing even close to $1500 a wheel. Who would spend $6000 on suspension work? That's rediculous. Their 280Z coilovers are about $150 per wheel. They are not compatible with the ZX.

go to www.modern-motorsports.com they make a coil over kit for the 280 and also a big break kit as well.. you might have to e mail him and ask about it.. he can make a custom coil over kit for your car..

thanks alot guys....how bad is it to cut a spring? this would lower it but make the car bounce...i dont know though...is it a good idea?

icice9 question

You can build your own coilovers, here´s an example: http://speedfreak.nu/modules.php?set...view_photo.php

cutting springs

do not cut the springs! it will ruin the temper of the steel and you will have no ride quality.

http://www.arizonazcar.com/strassy.html
thats the link for the whole suspension package I was talking about that runs $1500 a corner. chorme alloy control arms coil overs, four piston calipers and 5 lug conversions.
