Emergency Brake line adjustment

Okay guys got a question for ya. My nephew has a 81 280zx but his emergency brake line is snaped. Got another line from a local junk yard. But heres the thing we took off the old line and the other line is a bit short on the driver side. I was wonder if there is any way to adjust the line or is there something else i can do so we can get the line on. Any appreciation would be helpful. ty :confused

There is the adjustment at the center of the cable. The line from the brake handle comes back to just in front of the differential. That point has a long adjustment bolt on it. Losen it up to hook up the connections between calipers and then tighten it a bit to take out the slack. Not too tight, or your rear brakes will burn while you drive. :p

Follow Bleach's instruction and you will be all set.

ummm thing is was that I thought i could put it back together from the caliper back to the adjustment bolt that you say coming from the handle.
So it would be easier to go from the bolt to the caliper instead of the caliper to the bolt???

Either way should work. Honestly, I have different rear brake calipers than you. Mine is the later style, 82-83.

I'm not sure but maybe the mounting points vary slightly and what I suggested won't work... ? Just losen up the bolt in the middle as much as you can and see if it all goes together. That's all I'm saying.

ah okay, well we have been trying to go to the caliper to the adjustment bolt and that seems not to work so well try from the bolt to the caliper. Ill give some info on how it goes. ty
