All new brake parts/1981 280zx
 

My name is Phil, I live in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. I have a variety of 1981 280zx rear brake parts, all but one part is new. I have the infamous hard to locate, complete parking brake system, handle and complete cable, this is the only used item I am selling, it is in great working shape. I have 2 brand new OEM single piston caliper's, one does not have the yoke. I have front and rear aftermarket slotted and drilled rotor's/4 bolt. I also have a new upgrage e brake cable only. I have brand new front n rear brake shoes, six new braided caliper lines, timing chain kit. Finally I have 2 anodized brake bracket's for a $1,200 dollar Willwood rear brake system. The 81' 280zx underwent a rear brake upgrade in the Fall of 81(Sept) my ZX was manufactured in May of 81 and it would not fit my brake system, had to have mine specially made, these will also fit the new ZX's also 82 & 83. Now on the OEM Parking Brake, believe me I understand how damn difficult it was to find one, I looked all over the World ! I found someone eventually in Dallas, TX., IT WAS NOT CHEAP ! I am open to negotiations and will add $ for shipping. I am a 55 yr old disabled U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran, and will not play games, I promise you we can make a deal. Anodized bracket's are made for the Sept. 81 and newer 82 n 83 ZX's.

I know a place that will make a rear section of the parking brake cable for 75.00. I know that the 1981 and 1983 cables are not the exact same. The hard plastic covering on the drivers side of the cable is shorter on the 1983 than the 1981. You can get it to fit but have to snake the cable around. Also look at the ends of the "new" cable and the ends of the "old" cable, they are not the same, you are missing something? You have the wrong cable or the wrong yoke, your choice.
